Willing or hesitant? A socioeconomic study on the potential acceptance of COVID-19 vaccine in Japan

Because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our team decided to explore COVID-19 vaccine acceptance and vaccine hesitancy in Japan. Using probit regression and ordered probit regression, our study reveals the associations between demographic features, socioeconomic status, behavioural patterns, and COVID-19 vaccine acceptance and hesitancy. As a result, we recommended that Japanese policymakers tailor their policies based on target people's characteristics and avoid using standardised procedures.
